Privacy policy

Your voice stays yours.

This policy explains how Reverse Audio handles local audio, advertising, usage analytics, installation attribution, privacy choices, and sharing.

1. About this policy

This policy explains how Reverse Audio (the “App”) handles information when you record and reverse audio, view ads, use optional reminders, share recordings, or contact support. No account is required. For privacy questions, contact Rnelms999@gmail.com.

Audio stays on your device unless you share it. Advertising, usage analytics, crash diagnostics, and installation attribution are transmitted separately to the services described below.

2. Information we process

Information and sourcePurpose and triggerDestination and control
Microphone audio and original/reversed WAV filesRecord and reverse sound when you start recording with microphone permissionProcessed and saved in private storage on your device. Audio is not uploaded to our analytics or advertising services. Delete recordings in the App or clear its data.
Local recording filenames, exact duration, file size and timestampsDisplay, play, manage and share your recording libraryKept with local recordings; the chosen sharing destination receives the selected file and file details. Analytics receives duration ranges and action results, not recording filenames, paths, waveforms or audio content.

Google Analytics for Firebase also collects its automatic app and session events. The App has no separate analytics off switch.
Device/app information, SDK identifiers, available advertising identifiers, network information, IP address and diagnostics including crashesAnalytics, advertising delivery and measurement, attribution, service reliability and fraud prevention at launch and during SDK useProcessed by the relevant DataEye, Google and AppsFlyer services. IP addresses can reveal approximate location; the App does not request precise location permission. Advertising ID controls are available in Android Settings.
Ad requests, impressions, clicks, rewards, failures, ad placements, revenue amounts and currencyDeliver and measure ads and optional rewardsGoogle Mobile Ads processes ad interactions. DataEye receives ad lifecycle and revenue events; Firebase Analytics and AppsFlyer receive impression revenue measurements.

Selected campaign fields are saved locally and forwarded to DataEye for later event analysis.

3. Advertising, analytics and service providers

We configure the following services for the purposes described here. Their privacy information supplements this policy:

We do not send your recording audio to these services. Recording content is not used by the App for speech recognition, voice identification or AI model training.

4. Consent and your advertising choices

Google UMP updates advertising consent information before the App requests ads and presents a form when required. Available ad personalization choices depend on your region and Google's consent status. Open Settings → Privacy choices when that entry is available to revisit those choices. Android also provides controls to reset or delete your Advertising ID.

Advertising choices do not disable all analytics. DataEye, Firebase Analytics and AppsFlyer initialize at App startup independently of the advertising consent form. The App does not currently provide a separate control to disable those analytics services. Revoking microphone permission prevents new recording but does not stop advertising or analytics.

You can optionally watch a rewarded ad to pause App Open and interstitial ads for 30 minutes. Native and banner ads can remain visible, and this pause does not disable analytics. Declining the reward does not block recording, reversal, playback, history, sharing or deletion.

5. Permissions and reminders

The App does not request contacts, precise location, camera or broad shared-storage access.

6. Sharing recordings

When you choose Share, Android presents compatible destinations. The destination you select receives the selected WAV file through temporary read access and handles it under its own privacy practices. Sharing is optional. Deleting a recording in Reverse Audio does not delete copies already saved, shared or received elsewhere.

7. Storage, retention and deletion

Original and reversed recordings stay in private internal storage until deleted. The App's confirmed delete action attempts to remove both files and reports the result. Clearing App storage or uninstalling normally removes local recordings, preferences and the locally saved attribution snapshot.

Android cloud backup is disabled for the App, and recordings are explicitly excluded from cloud backup and device transfer. Other preferences may be transferred depending on the Android version and device manufacturer's transfer behavior. Exports and copies in other apps are outside these controls.

Advertising, analytics, attribution and support records are separate from local audio. Clearing App data, uninstalling or deleting a recording does not automatically erase records already received by our services or their providers. Service-side retention depends on provider practices and the settings applied to the relevant service; the provider links above explain their practices. Contact us to ask about retention or deletion of information associated with your use of the App.

No account is created, and we do not hold a server copy of your recordings. Because telemetry uses app/device identifiers rather than a registered account, we may need additional information to locate a record and may be unable to associate some records with you. We will explain these limits when responding to a request.

8. Security and international processing

Android's private App storage limits access to local recordings, and shared recordings use temporary read permissions. Our configured analytics endpoint uses HTTPS. No device, storage or network system can be guaranteed completely secure; protect your device and be careful when sharing recordings.

Our advertising, analytics, attribution and support providers can process information in countries other than your own. Their privacy notices describe their processing practices and relevant transfer safeguards. Audio processing itself takes place on your device.

9. Your privacy requests

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact Rnelms999@gmail.com with your request. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify and locate the relevant records. Do not send recordings or sensitive identification documents unless needed and specifically requested.

10. Children

Reverse Audio is a general-audience entertainment utility and is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App or support, contact us. Record other people only with any permission required by applicable law.

11. Website and support

This privacy page contains no analytics scripts, advertising, embedded third-party media, forms or cookie-setting scripts. Delivering the page necessarily exposes technical request information, such as IP address and browser information, to our website hosting and delivery services, Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront). See the AWS Privacy Notice. If you follow an external link or email support, the destination or email provider also processes information under its own policies.

12. Changes and contact

We update this policy when the App's data practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated through the App or store listing where appropriate.
